Why do we take an authorization on the credit card??
It is required by the banks upon every rental which is to be debited to a credit card, authorization is to be taken to ensure that there are sufficient funds available to pay for the rental. The authorization is merely a hold for an amount on the credit card which is then released when the vehicle has been returned in the same condition taken. Due to high risks of renting vehicles over the weekend, we take an additional authorization to ensure that there are sufficient funds available should there be an accident with the vehicle.
