“We rented a Toyota Auris through Ambassador Car Hire for just over two weeks. I had pleasant and professional conversations with the owner, and overall, I would certainly recommend renting a car through Ambassador Car Hire. I would give them a solid 8 out of 10. Were there any downsides? Yes, a couple of small points for improvement. I suggested that Ambassador Car Hire update their logo and make sure they are easily reachable by mobile phone or WhatsApp, as communication could have been a little better in this respect. Another challenge was the nationwide fuel shortage. Despite this, we eventually found a fair solution, allowing us to pay for the remaining fuel at the agreed rate. The only minor downside was that we could not stick to the original full-to-full fuel policy, simply because there was no petrol available. As a result, we ended up paying a little more than the original $30 mentioned. Apart from these minor points, we had a good experience with Ambassador Car Hire and would recommend them to other travellers.”

“Hired car from Blantyre to Lilongwe for 8 days. Car was dropped by Charles at Hotel in clean, well maintained condition. We drove on the most terrible roads you can think of but had no problems. Delivered the car back at Lilongwe Hotel where Charles took possession, checked for any signs of damage, non where made. Our deposit was returned within days. Can recommend Ambassadore Car Hite with full confidence.”

“We had a lovely experience with the car rental. We had not reserved anything ahead of time, and it was near the end of the day, but the person who worked with us was calm, kind, and accommodating. He did not pressure us or try to up-sell us anything. The car was excellent and did well on the roads. You pretty much have to get four-wheel-drive for the roads. They met us at the airport and took the car back. Thank you!”

Edward, who met us at the airport with the car, was very courteous, helpful and efficient. He was also there in good time to receive the car at the end of the hire agreement.
